My name is Lisa Kocay and I am a junior at Lehigh University. I’m majoring in journalism and minoring in art history and global studies. I’ve grown up with a mother who is a caterer so food has always been a big part of my life. If I wasn’t in the kitchen taste testing the scrumptious food she makes, I was helping her. I now live off-campus and am embarking on my own culinary adventures, as I now have to cook for myself. This blog is about my experiences in cooking, reviews on restaurants and recipes, lessons from a class I’m currently taking on food in religion and culture, and all there is to do with food and drink.
My favorite foods are green grapes, chocolate chip cookies, sushi, and tea (especially green tea). I also love very flavorful foods, ethnic foods (especially Indian), food that has a kick to it, and anything sweet. I loathe olives and very seldom like peanut butter, but I enjoy almost anything else. I eat healthy often but I do love to indulge every now and then. I have a passion for trying new foods: “open your horizons,” as my mother would say.
