I guess you could call me the stir-fry queen because that’s all I ever seem to make at times. I’m not sure if I should attribute it to being lazy or trying to be healthy – although it’s probably a good mix of both.
While grocery shopping, I stumbled upon MorningStar Spicy Indian Veggie Burger. I like Morning Star patties because they’re an easy way to add protein while also adding a unique texture. Sometimes when I add their Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers to my tikka masala stir fry, it gives my meal a chili-like taste that I really enjoy.
On that same grocery shopping trip, I also found a Simply Enjoy Thai Yellow Curry Asian-Style Sauce. I figured the Indian vegetable patty and this sauce would compliment each other well, so I purchased them and went home to make my stir fry.
For this stir fry, I sautéed:
- Bell peppers
- Chopped garlic
- Green beans
For spice, I added:
You don’t need to add curry to this sauce because upon opening the bottle, you can smell it. Once everything was finished cooking and I had chopped up the warm patty and added the sauce, I sat down to enjoy my meal. I really like how the flavors in the sauce and patty complimented one another, and it made for a lovely flavor. The sauce isn’t spicy so you can go heavy handed on the spices, if you please. The sauce has a heavy curry taste, although it isn’t overbearing. I liked that the patty added some more vegetables to the dish, and it all came together perfectly. I would recommend this pairing to everyone who liked Indian spices.
