I’ve found some of the best places by wandering around. If you take the subway to a random stop and then walk around, you sometimes find hidden gems. I decided to do this my second night in Paris in hopes of finding a good dinner spot. However, it ended up that I would have been better doing some research first.
I got on a metro and hopped off at a random stop. The area wasn’t the greatest, but I decided to keep walking and see if I could find a good restaurant. I stumbled across La Chope and noticed there were Trip Advisor signs on the door, so I figured it must be good.
I ordered the salmon with herbed butter and grilled vegetables. The salmon was cooked well, the herbed butter added great flavor and the vegetables were also tasty. It didn’t compare to my meal the night prior, though. It was overall an pretty good meal, nothing special or memorable. I could have found something better if I had done some Googling before heading out, though.
