There are certain foods I can’t say no to. A gooey chocolate chip cookie, a well-prepared salmon and a robust duck are all dishes I won’t ever turn down. Thai cuisine is also on that list.
Every Sunday night, I get dinner with my friend Sam. We share a love for Thai food, and we both try to enjoy our weekly meals on a budget. At Thailand Cafe, we were able to do both.
In an effort to order something other than the usual go-to pad Thai, I mixed it up by ordering drunken noodles. Drunken noodles are stir-fried noodles with egg, onions, bell peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, chili, garlic and basil. I ordered mine with chicken and requested it be made spicy.
The portion was quite large for such a cheap price, and it was definitely filling. The flavors were all there, but it wasn’t the best drunken noodles I’ve had. Some of the noodles were cut awkwardly and left as big chunks.
