My roommate from last year and I always got along so well, especially when it came to going out to eat. Her name is Sam and we love having sushi dates together, and getting all other types of food. We still make an effort to get dinner together every once in a while, and this time we decided to go to Thai Thai II.
I love Thai food, but for some reason never get it while I’m at school so I was excited to try a new Thai restaurant. I normally get chicken pad Thai, because I think anybody who has ever had it can agree that it is absolutely delicious. I decided to order something new this time though, so I got the pad kra prow with chicken, and requested that it be made spicy. It came sautéed in garlic, onion, bell pepper, chili, mushrooms, and basil leaves. My dish also came with rice, but I subbed it for brown rice. The dish was great, and the rice helped to soak up all of the sauce. They also made it the perfect spice level for me, which I was happy about. The flavors in it were good, and it essentially tasted just like a chicken and veggie stir fry. Overall, I was happy with my meal.
Sam ordered the drunken noodles with chicken, which are stir fry flat noodles with broccoli, tomato, onion, bell pepper, egg, chili, and basil leaves. I had never heard of drunk noodles before, so I asked if I could take a bite of her food. These drunken noodles may actually be better than pad thai, so I think I will be ordering this next time.
The portion sizes were great because you could finish your meal and be very full, or you could eat most of it and still have some to take home. The restaurant was decorated well, with lots of blues, whites, and golds. It had a very pleasant vibe, and the servers were also very nice and helpful. The food is priced well – it’s not cheap nor is it too expensive. I will definitely be returning sometime.
